Manitoba's 2025 dirt track racing season officially kicked off with a Saturday event at Morden's Dead Horse Creek Speedway. Originally scheduled for a Friday-Saturday affair, a soft track from rain earlier in the week prevented the speedway from opening on Friday, but persistence paid off to get the track in shape for Saturday.

Musings
Rain seemed to be the word of the week as many tracks were forced to cancel their events early due to wet conditions.
Western Renegade Non-Wing Sprintcar Series
The Western Renegade Non-Wing Sprintcar Series had 3 nights of racing over the Memorial Day long weekend cancelled because of the wet stuff. This, however, did not stop some of the teams from travelling further and running with the Northern Renegades at Gondik Law Speedway, WI and North Central Speedway, MN.
Kelly Miller
Lethbridge, Alberta's Kelly Miller has been a force to be reckoned with in regional 360 sprint car racing. Since the 2025 ASCS Frontier Region season started, he has won 3 out of 4 events in Montana. This past weekend, his Saturday night trip to victory lane at Electric City Speedway was even more special as he is now tied for the all-time most feature wins (17) along with Joe Ramaker and Logan Forler.
Friday Night Racing Fix
I started watching GForceTV on YouTube last year and really enjoyed their broadcast of dirt track racing at Ohsweken Speedway in Ontario. The broadcast is as good a quality as any you will find, plus it's absolutely FREE to watch. After a day of working hard, it's nice to be able to come home, have a bite to eat, settle in and watch an evening of sprint car racing.
Outlook Stock Car Track
Outlook Stock Car Track, Saskatchewan, adjusted their schedule slightly and held a Test and Tune on Sunday.afternoon. Not all of the regular cars were available for a season opener, so a change was necessary. 9 cars attended the afternoon practice session. When a smaller community dirt track relies on every car they can get on race day, sometimes these things happen.
Next scheduled event weekend for Outlook is June 28th and 29th
Racing Into June
June is fast approaching and that means that all Canadian dirt tracks will be open for business. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and fun season of racing. Whatever aspect of racing you are involved with, it's always appreciated.
